A few things have changed for me about Thanksgiving in the last little while. One big thing is that my wife has taken our whole family over to a Whole Food, Plant Based diet, so I don’t get to cook a big, fat turkey, anymore. (I have mixed feelings about it, but turkey is happy!)
What is consistent, though, is that I practice the gratitude effect. The Mayo Clinic says practicing gratitude will significantly increase your happiness and your physical health as it improves sleep and boosts immunity.
So, at Thanksgiving I renew the Seven Components of Gratitude:
Appreciation | Recognition | Motivation | Purpose | Inclusion | Trust Reciprocity
I hope you will too! Because gratitude is a gift we give ourselves and gratitude makes us better speakers and leaders.
And, I want you to know that I appreciate YOU for your time, your attention, and the introductions and referrals. It’s the lifeblood of my business. It’s how I feed my family and keep the roof over our heads and it means the world to me that you are part of my life. So, I’m ever grateful to you.
As we glide into the Holiday Season I invite you to join me in focusing on the good things, counting our blessings, letting go of our upsets and remembering that the little things often turn out to be the big things.
And, most of all, I wish you a very Happy, and thankful, Thanksgiving.
